In late February and March, Firebirds had the pleasure and opportunity to work and learn with Gabriella Gloria. We learned some fun shuffle dancing steps! Shuffle dancing is a type of dance consisting of a few steps complemented by variations from individual dancers. It is very popular on social media, where shuffle dancers post videos with fun, urban and exotic backgrounds. Our students had a blast learning their steps! We finished the 3-week residency by inviting families to watch short performances by students. We want to extend a big thank you to Gabriella for her willingness to share her passion for shuffling with our students.
