In September, Mitchell staff participated in a pro-d at Bridge Elementary around the topic of numeracy. During this workshop, we had the opportunity to engage in fun Math activities, using vertical spaces (white boards). This inspired our staff to create a special space in one of our hallways that is dedicated to vertical learning! This type of learning increases student engagement, enhances collaborative work and allows for movement. We have been very encouraged watching classes hard at work in this space!
