Every month there will be a new math story that is posted on our math bulletin board, close to the vertical spaces. There are two envelopes, one with a worksheet and one to place the completed worksheets in. Students are encouraged to solve the math story on the worksheet and place it in the "Done" envelope. We will look at the worksheets and choose one to highlight in the morning announcements once a month. There are multiple entry points to the math story and teachers can also choose to use the stories to do a class lesson as a task in the vertical spaces hallway. This supports our school goal by having students engage in a numeracy task by choice and by highlighting student learning!
