Through this school year, the Pro-D committee organized several opportunities for staff to engage in learning about Math routines, assessment and materials. The goal was to increase staff confidence in teaching Math and numeracy skills and to increase student engagement in Math activities. The committee organized four special learning events for staff that were very well received and included: grade-level collaboration sessions led by teacher consultant Jonathan Tang, one whole afternoon of Pro-D led by Mr. Tang as well, and one full day of collaboration with Carole Fullerton. The Mitchell would like to thank teachers Lisa Chang Dar Woon and Sophia Dewji for their dedication towards Pro-D planning at Mitchell!
